I am so sorry for the loss of your dear family member. There’s so much needless suffering in the world and it can be hard to deal with. Something that helps me is to reflect on the promise found at Revelation 21:4. It says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning not outcry nor pain bee anymore. The former things have passed away.” What a wonderful time yup look forward to! May you have peace in your hearts and minds until you are with Brian again.

Brian was such a good friend in high school. I don’t remember the last time we hung out or how we drifted apart, but I sure wish we hadn’t. He was kind to everybody, brought people together, loved coming over and paying with my dogs and cats, and oh man did we crack up. I sure wish we’d have known each other and stayed close through our 20s and 30s. I wish I’d have gotten to know your kids and been there for you when your mom passed away. I’ll regret that we drifted apart for the rest of my life, but I know that if we had run across each other again, nothing would have been too different. You were my friend, and that doesn’t go away due to mere absence. I hope you’re at peace and that peace finds your family again soon.

I met Brian a few times when I was up in Indiana for a week with a common friend. Through my friend, I heard how hard working Brian was and how he loved his children. His life was cut short, and I am deeply sorry for your loss. Today darkness as encumbered the lives that Brian as touched; but with faith and strength from support of family and friends I pray, in hope, it is enough for the light to reach too all that have been impacted by this tragedy. God Bless Brian’s family and friends!
